Dental care
Dental care and cleaning
A scheduled dental cleaning with pre-anesthetic lab work run in the building, plus DuoClenz chews and the at-home routine that keeps the next cleaning further away.
Chapter 01
A cleaning is its own appointment
Dental care and cleaning at Woodsprings is scheduled on its own, not tacked onto a routine wellness visit. A dog or cat's mouth is examined and cleaned under anesthesia, which takes real preparation and a dedicated appointment slot rather than the last ten minutes of a checkup.
That's deliberate. A cleaning done properly takes the time it takes, and treating it as an add-on is how corners get cut on something that affects a pet's health for years.

What in-office lab work covers first
Before any anesthesia, in-office lab work runs bloodwork here in the building to confirm your pet is a safe candidate for the procedure that day. Nothing gets sent out and waited on.
That's the same lab work Woodsprings uses ahead of surgery, so a dental cleaning gets the same pre-anesthetic screening a surgical procedure does, not a lighter version of it.
Chapter 03
DuoClenz chews and the routine between visits
Woodsprings carries DuoClenz chews and prescription soft treats to help manage plaque and tartar between cleanings, alongside pill pockets for pets that need medication worked in.
A consistent at-home routine with those chews is what stretches the gap before the next cleaning is needed. It doesn't replace a professional cleaning, but it's the difference between needing one every year and needing one less often.
