Chapter 01
What all indoor actually means the night before you leave
The worry that keeps most owners up the night before a trip is a simple one: what is my pet actually going to be doing all day. At Woodsprings the answer is straightforward. Every boarder stays inside the building for the whole stay. There is no outdoor run where a dog sits alone in the weather, and no chain-link pen facing a parking lot. The kennel space is the same climate-controlled building your pet already knows from wellness visits, just set up for an overnight stay instead of an appointment.
Dogs and cats are housed in separate areas of that building, not side by side in the same row. A cat who has never met a dog in her life is not spending three nights a few feet from one barking. Water is available in every run, all day, so nobody is waiting on a staff round to get a drink. It is a small detail, but it is the one that tells you the stay was set up around the animal rather than around whatever space happened to be open.

The fenced yard and the walk-and-play routine
Being indoor does not mean being still. Woodsprings has a large fenced-in yard, and staff take the dogs out to it to walk and play rather than leaving them in a run for the length of the stay. That routine is what keeps a multi-night board from turning into a pet who comes home wound up or withdrawn: the day still has structure and movement in it, it just happens on our schedule instead of yours.
It is also the reason a lot of Jonesboro owners board here for something as short as a weekend and something as long as a family vacation. The routine does not change with the length of the stay. A two-night board and a two-week board get the same walk-and-play schedule, the same separate housing, and the same staff who already know your pet from the exam room.
Chapter 03
What to bring and what we already have covered
You do not need to pack much. We supply Science Diet Sensitive Stomach food for the stay, along with beds, toys and blankets, so a pet who boards on short notice is never going without. If your dog or cat does better with their own food, or sleeps easier with a blanket or toy from home, bring it along and we will use it instead. Plenty of owners do, especially for a longer stay or a pet who gets anxious away from home.
If your pet is on medication, that comes with them too. Our staff give medications on schedule during the stay, at the same times you would give them at home, so a prescription is never a reason to board somewhere else or skip a trip altogether.
Vaccinations, and what happens if yours have lapsed
Pets need to be current on vaccinations to board here, which is a rule most kennels share for the simple reason that it protects every other animal staying at the same time. If you check your pet's records and something is due, that is not a reason to cancel the trip. Because boarding and wellness care happen in the same building, we can update vaccines during the stay itself, so a lapsed shot gets caught and handled without an extra visit beforehand.
It is one more way the building doing everything under one roof works in your favor at the exact moment it matters most: the week you are trying to leave town.
